I'm pregnant!!

So a few of you know just how exciting that phrase is it to say. We are absolutely thrilled. I'm horrible at keeping it a secret. I know lots of people don't tell until after the first trimester. I haven't even been to my first appointment yet so I don't even have a real due date. Our guess is late January or early February. I've thought for a while now about the different ways of announcing it on the blog. The truth is though, I've gotten sicker sooner and frankly I feel my creative energies, as well as all other energy has been zapped out the window. So I'll share the differences between the first and second pregnancies.
Typical early pregnancy snack right?
This time around with a little twist.
And what happens when we share a snack with a 2 year old? That's right, a cracker in our drink.
Thankfully there's no picture for the second story. No more throwing up alone. Jackson was right there with me, holding his own hair, trying to do the same. yuck. I know.

congrats and that's really funny because Mary and I were just talking and I asked her if she'd heard anything new about you being pregnant or something like that and then she asked me if I knew anything and I was like no there's nothing on her blog about it or her facebook status....

Congratulations!! I recently learned that you can call your OB before your first appointment for prescription anti-nausea pills (Zofran), mine just called them into a local pharmacy for me. They're not perfect, but they help.

haha...so funny! Congratulations! Taylor would pretend like she was throwing up too while I was pregnant with Bella. Hope you feel better soon! and yes, get some Zofran!

I don't know if you've tried it, but B6 and Unisom helped me sooo much. I would take 100 mg of b6 and one unisom right before bed (with my prenatal vitamin). Make sure you get the regular unisom (not the gel kind). The ingredient that supposedly helps with nausea is Doxylamine Succinate. So make sure you get the right ingredient (Mike once got me the generic brand with the wrong ingredient and I was sick the next day). Anyway, I'm so excited for you!!!!! Good luck with everything!

Oh Natalie! I'm so happy for you. You're such great mom! As for the sickness, I'm not going to lie, nothing helped mine. Just remember that you're getting a great present in the end. I wonder if you're having a girl! Oh how wonderful it will be to shop with you for little smocked dresses! Perhaps we can find a matching seersucker mommy/daughter dress!!!!

Congratulations Natalie! It's so funny when the little ones want to do everything you do. Finn puts all sorts of things up to nose and tries to sniff them because I have allergy medicine that I have to sniff up each nostril (and yes he puts the objects up to each individual nostril and sniffs). It's really cute.

Crackers in the drink. So true! Too funny. I love that Jackson was trying to throw up alongside you. See, 2-year-olds can be sympathetic! I know how you feel having the creative juices zapped. First trimester is the "black hole of life." So if you don't blog for the next 3 months... been there.

FYI, Zofran is a wonder drug, but an EXPENSIVE wonder drug. It's actually a pill perscribed to cancer patients who are going through chemo b/c chemo makes you really naseous. They're about $30 pill and I had to take it twice a day. Not all insurances cover it for pregnancy, so check first before you fill it! I'm taking the B6 and sleeping pill combo now and it is helping some, but it's just my lot in life to be dog sick for the first sixteen weeks or so of pregnancy. That has certainly thwarted my plans to have ten kids, but I think I'll do it one more time to get the four I know I'm supposed to have, but I can't think about that right now. Right now I'm just trying to get through this one! Blech!

Congratulations! Sour things (even kind of sour things like Tootsie Pops and Jolly Ranchers) helped me sometimes. Hope you start feeling better soon!
