Dear Pinterest

I just want to say.  We had a good thing.  I mean for a while there, I went to you if i had any time on the computer.  You taught me so much: recipes, clothing, diys (that i'm sorry but i'll never do), cheap ways to potentially clean my house, crafts and all kinds of other whatnot.  My blog and I were sorta distant in those days.  I'm just saying, I hope we can still be friends. I'll still come around a visit.  Its just... getting a bit... redundant.  I'm sorry, I just want my friends to post on their blogs again.  Hope you understand.

It was fun. We're having family pictures done in December with Brent's family. Last night we picked a color theme (grey, navy, yellow, and stripes). Now these aren't the exact things because I couldn't figure out how to do that and of course we're using a lot of what we already have but this is generally what I'm thinking. Honestly, I just think having the clothes laid out like that makes me feel like I'm some kinda fashionista. hehehe I'm so not. I welcome any and all input. What's good about it? What's not working? I want the ties to look more casual and less dressy. Is that working or do we just all look formal?

oops..... looks like Sam figured out how to eat whoppers without bothering to ask somebody to open them. He's probably had 5 packs by now.

If you're not pregnant you should dress like this. You would look awesome and I would be jealous.

fabric(from a very long distance at least. :( I've been wanting to make an ikea trip for a long time. I've only been once and it was out in Utah when I had to get back on an airplane. I just love their big bold prints on these fabrics. One day I'm gonna go and fill up my van with all sorts of stuff like this.

but i wouldn't have to wait on this radio that reminds me of my grandma dollar's pink bathroom. Whenever you turned on the light, old country music would start playing from an old radio like this one. I'm not really into vintage but i love these.

Family pictures

We haven't had professional pictures taken of our family since July 2007. I mean don't get me wrong, we've taken thousands of pictures but i don't think we've had a single picture of everybody in our family since i was in the hospital with sam. not pretty. so when desi called me about taking pictures with andrea larsen for a fundraiser for five in training. i was really excited. i haven't gotten andrea's pictures yet but here are some of the ones we took ourself before and after the photo shoot.






ok so click on the link for five in training. even if you just go visit it, it gives their numbers a boost so hopefully they can get sponsors. i suggest though you read the story as to why they're doing this. its very touching and inspiring.

I added two new links to my favorite links list.

Small Notebook is a blog/website i'm not sure about simplifying, organizing, and housekeeping. I found it last week and was surprised to find somebody writing so much like how I think. While this post converted me (how to make things harder and do nothing), I also liked ah-ha cleaning moments, and the no spend month. Very interesting.

Nesting Place is how I would/hopefully will decorate my house. I just like her style a lot. I've always assumed that people who had a nice house spent a lot of money doing it. She picks up a lot of stuff cheap at thrift stores and such. While I don't have time in my life now to do that. (kids are so hard to take to places like that i think.) I still really like what she offers. Check out cool, calm, and collected.

I just had to share

I haven't been sewing like at all recently. I still frequent sewing blogs though even though I now know I won't sew anything I see. This has been the most tempting post for me in months. the projects. the babies. the fabric. the colors. the photography. i love it all.

I have lots of excuses

I don't have a sewing table yet in the room I want for a sewing room. I'm still unpacking.

I'm just so uncomfortably pregnant.

I have lots (even more than that) of excuses for not sewing these lovelies for the new baby. I couldn't even remember the other cute baby project tutorials i've seen online. send me a link if you know of more cute ones. seriously. i'm gonna start again soon.

It's been a while since I publicly vowed my love of fabric. I thought, nah they don't care, but...I'm sorry....I just thought these Arcadia fabrics by Sanae (Moda) were gorgeous! I couldn't choose which picture I liked best. The bottom two are for sell on Etsy.

Oh and by golly it's a two posting day! Amazing!

Book Report

Brent and I heard this song on npr last week or so and laughed so hard. It was one of those moments where you can't get out of the car until you finish listening. I didn't know it was charlie brown though. Just thought I'd post it for your pleasure.
