too much time

So i'm always fussing about not having enough time to get things done. Today Sam had his vaccines (I know. so sad. we both cried.) but it totally put him to sleep for the afternoon. Yeah! Time to get lots and lots of things done. unfortunately, this is what i looked like all day. I had so much time that I didn't do anything and just wasted it in front of the computer. (that's a picture of me figuring out skype.) i could have been productive, but I wasn't. oh the things i could have done....

I love routines. I think it's how relationships are nourished and strengthened. Sometimes I'm guilty of rushing through them and not enjoying these moments. Not tonight. I want to remember these times.

For a brief brief moment my son has combed hair (still with a cowlick though). Also, notice the socks. Both my husband and son insist on sleeping with socks. Isn't that weird!

garrett got home from australia last week and showed me this. evidently she came in like 6th on australian idol but i really liked this.

She's been mine for 27 years.

I'm reminiscing. and crying. i love my little sister. too many pictures to look at and cry about. i know she's not dying but she used to love me best.

Brent just forgot to take Sam to the stand with him for the blessing. True story. We had to call him back down to get the baby.

We celebrated by making the hat and eating green eggs and ham--which i thought were extremely unappetizing. Sam was not around for the festivities but I'm sure he will be coupled with green eggs and ham more times than he ever cares to in the next 6-8 years with birthdays and halloweens etc. so I don't feel too bad.
