Can you see the ice sheets floating in the river? Now that is cold.

Do city folk do mobile blogging?
So I just picture city folk mobile blogging. With their important things to do, wherever they go. After 2 days in Chicago I am fitting right in. Well, if mobile blogging is using somebody else's computer--which I don't even think it is. Chicago is just crazy cool. Freezing bitter cold. It seriously taking a good 20 minutes of 3 adults working to bundle up three toddlers with all their layers. Cute small little grocery stores. We are like a few blocks from Barack Obama's house but you can't get close b/c of the police. Anyway, my thoughts aren't organized b/c i'm just throwing this post together for Rachel. Enjoy. I'm sure i'll post more when I can think of something cute and funny.
This started b/c jackson and I play stop/go while driving. We were watching the traffic stop...then go at the stop sign then the boys joined in. After watching for 4 or 5 minutes you realize how many people ignore traffic signs.
peek-a-boo
uh...jackson sweetie...there's a door over there. you don't have to crawl through the window.

Christmas at Chilhowee
This weekend Brent and I went to Christmas at Chilhowee. It's a park here in Knoxville but I had never been to it before. It was so perfect. They had these Christmas trees set up on the water and lots of pretty lights but even better was they had all of this free stuff. free hot dogs, hot chocolate, snow creme, eggnog, apple cider, carriage rides, marshmellows to roast, candy, and reindeer antlers. It was a blast.

I can't decide
I love Anna Maria Horner stuff. so gorgeous. I can't decide between these two aprons. I just think aprons are so cute and domestic. They have different colors in both. so many choices!
Well I might as well mention I love her fabrics and this bag. Just giving you gift ideas.
wink. nudge. brent. everthing except the bag can be purchased at her shop.
is that too explicit for you? too forward? sorry. you don't have to.

Christmas decorating.
A post just for the sake of posting
So I thought I hadn't taken any pictures recently of Jackson but was feeling a need to post so I took these shots to show off my sons good manners.
But then I ran across all these pictures I hadn't posted. Ally, Jackson, and Emma after going to a cupcake shop grand opening. You know, you think I could have forseen how difficult it was going to be...but I didn't.
I can now enjoy little breaks during the day since Jackson has finally started watching movies.

I'm thankful for...
I 'm thanksful for my mother-in-law
(shhh... don't tell her I called her that b/c she wants me to call her mom...yeah she loves me that much)
1. Today when the car man was telling me how terrible my car was she went with me and actually knew what he was saying. asking about the blahdiblah belt (of course she didn't call it that she knew the real word!) I loved that.
2. She let me not only use her sewing machine but helped me when I continually messed it up and then blamed the machine instead of the user. so sweet!
3. She raised Brent to be a faithful, caring, fun, husband. He's also terribly handsome and I think she had something to do with that. She also understand his engineerish brain b/c she married an engineer. (she was wooed on her first date by the explanation of how a refridgerator works.)
4. At any given moment she might have 30 people staying at her home. You should probably call in advance to book a night at her house but she'll always tell you to come.
5. She loves me.
6. I lived in her house for like 8 months. that was pretty kind.
7. She is such an example of faith and service. a calling magnifier.
8. Everything she touches is perfection. wedding cakes, sewing projects, costumes, her hair
9. I've learned that a big reason her house is so inviting is b/c it's always clean. I've learned how much it invites the spirit and leads to more peace.
10. She loves Jackson and is always there for him, or me whenever I need a helping hand.

Yeah me!
I just threw my clothes in the dryer with a lightbulb! No, its not a new way to decrease static. It's just now a bunch of clothes with tiny pieces of glass presumably throughout the load. Yeah...I'm just that cool. Should I just re-wash the load? I suppose I shouldn't keep the spare lightbulbs in front of the dryer sheets that sit on the cabinet above the dryer. Huh?
What silly thing have you done today?
