Sandestin Playground

Yeah! We just got back from an amazing vacation to Sandestin with my family. Because of the extreme amount of fun we enjoyed in a variety of activities I will (eventually) make several posts. The first is of the amazing playground that they had. Are y'all tired of me bragging on playgrounds? Sorry.
It took some convincing, but eventually Jackson became a big fan of the bicycle. We went on a bike ride most days. It was just like a 1.5 mile ride to the park so we went often. Unfortunately I was not good at riding so this is the best picture I was able to get. Really, at my low skill level I should have kept my camera in my pocket.

They had one of those mist things like six flags if you've ever been that Jackson really liked.

Brent testing Jackson's arm strength.

Nico in the swing.
They also had a parent swing to hold the kids in. I loved it.
Jacob about to throw a fist-full of playground stuff.

On our way out there is a bridge over this little pond or something. We saw this turtle swimming and I swear it waved. I thought it was a cool picture with our shadows in it too.
Thanks again family for all the memories!

Graduation

Brent graduated on Friday from the University of Tennessee in Chemical Engineering. Yeah! I have to admit, I was more excited than I thought I would be. It has been a long university life for the two of us but I'm grateful for all of the extra effort he put in to finish with honors. He has accepted a job here rather locally (Oak Ridge) so we will remain in East Tennessee. Yeah for Brent!

I made Brownies!

I made some delicious brownies this week. But this is mulch. ich

New Posts

Guys, I just put in 4 new blogs. Encourage such good behavior with lots of good comments that tell me how cute Jackson is. hehe Enjoy!

Can I just say

Can I just say I am so thankful for moments like these. Jackson is able to get to know his great-grandma O'bryant like none of her others. I think they are both such a happy, bright spot in one another's lives, mainly because she let's him do whatever he wants.

Then I get a cute wet thing back!

So sad

So sad... ...and yet...
...I can't...
put my camera down!
Poor Baby.
Can't you just hear those screams. Don't judge me too harshly.

Breaks

Jackson was just hanging out trying to soothe his gums with a block of ice. Oh what a boring time, desperate for something more, but of what he didn't know.
Brent, spending yet more time procrastinating finishing up with the load of this semester, just feeling like he needed something more.
Until the two found each other.
Family. Isn't it about time.

A day at the Park

So I'm pretty sure I don't have anybody in Knoxville that reads my blog, but if by chance you are out there and I don't know it...I totally recommend Walker Springs Park. It's so pretty-- not over-crowded--and there is lots of shade which is nice on those really hot days. It has this really nice playground with slides, a pianoish thing, and a periscope. Jackson ignores all of that though to find sticks in the grass.

Wow, TWO!
Then he goes for the pretzels that other kids have dropped.
Then gets mad when he doesn't get the pretzel AND gets stuck under the bench while his mom just laughs.
Then for the last (very long for me) 45 minutes he insists on swinging.
Yeah! we love the park!
Did I mention we love going to the park?
