Projects

So I wasn't going to post this. It's kinda embarrassing how much time I manage to squeeze in to sew. Here are my excuses.
1. I'm project oriented not detail oriented so none of these things look fabulous up close. only from a distance.
2. My husband often works late and long hours.
3. I'm not much of a TV person, especially if Brent isn't around.
4. Jackson is an amazing sleeper. 12-13 hr. nights plus a 1-2 hour nap.
5. Jackson has started enjoying movies more. I really try not to sew while he's up but I'm not perfect and its easier to get things done like cleaning now because he can play by himself better than he used to. So I kinda feel guilty about his one now that I put it in writing.
6. I only have one baby. So y'all pray that we'll have another so my sewing machine can rest again.
With no further ado here are my most recent projects minus the laundry bag I made Brittany. (I forgot to take a picture. mainly because I was finishing it in the car as we drove to her house on her birthday.)

Natalie! You are awesome! The apron is so cute and I love that bag! I just downloaded some new quilt patterns that I'll be trying again. I hope my adventures turn out as good as yours! And never feel guilty taking a few minutes for yourself. It's good for Jackson to learn to entertain himself. Besides Elder Utchdorf (I butchered that spelling) did give a talk on taking time for yourself as women last Conference.

You amaze me, now I wish I had taken your project tag, so I could get a cool thing from you, I just could not think of a cool thing to make until after three people had posted! I LOVE that bag and apron, you find the cutest fabric ever to make things from. Also, there is no need to be embrassed, every mother needs her own thing so she can enjoy her child/children more. So NO feeling bad and enjoy the TALENTS the Lord has given you, because you are talented!!!!! :) You are just letting your light shine!

Awwww. I need friends like you're friends! So encouraging! But yes, you are incredibly talented. Now if I could only get you out here to teach me a thing or two. I want to make Aidan curtains for his room but haven't a clue how to start!! Anyone?

Natalie! Those are amazing! Did you use a pattern or freehand them? Either way, gorgeous!

i used a pattern for both. the bag is just rectangles but i adjusted it so i could make it reversible. mainly just what types of pockets where.

Thanks for the apron! I love it - so glad I signed up for that :). Rees was even impressed enough to sound impressed - not always an easy task.

WOW!!! Natalie... you are so talented, it's awesome! I love both the apron and the bag! The bag is sooo sooo cute that I have to make one more shout for joy at your talent though... way to go!

I must admit I am a little teeny tiny bit jealous at your amazing sleeper. Wow! Live up the time while it lasts.

I've always been grateful that Juliette sleeps through the night... but not usually that long and for sure no nap if she does... Tiger on the other hand we are just so grateful he is finally sleeping through the night and any length of time for a nap is a blessing. :) ha ha ha... so there you have it... I'm not really jealous... but I am thrilled for you... seriously... explore and your talent while you can!!! :)
You are awesome!!
